Yo, Strokers:

Your Savage deserves something better than that anemic stock horn! It belongs on a kid's tricycle, not on a noble machine such as the LS650! I recommend going to Pep Boys and getting a FIAMM "Freeway Blaster Horn", no. F-72112, which is the low note version. It's rated at a 132db sound level, and it costs $15.99.
After removing the old horn, you must reverse the mounting bracket on the frame so that the horn's mounting hole faces down and to the rear. Then mount the new horn with a flat washer, because its mounting stud is too short to use the rubber cushion "sandwich" washer from the old horn. Angle the horn so its flared opening faces down and slightly to the front. This will allow clearance between the engine and the forks when turned to the left. Then slip on the spade connectors, (polarity is not important), give everything a final tightening with your 10mm wrench and you're done!
The "Freeway Blaster" has a commanding trumpet-like tone that can be heard over any traffic situation, and it projects the sound omnidirectionally, instead of mostly to the left like the stock horn. Your Savage will have a warning voice that is truly Stentorian! (look it up)
